The Butterfly – A Flying Flower

“The butterfly is a flying flower.”

The above is my favorite butterfly quote by Ponce Denis that somehow captures the innate beauty of this fluttering insect.

At a higher philosophical level, the following quote by Trina Paulus  relates this beauty to the fear of  venturing  into the unknown,

“How does one become a butterfly?’ she asked pensively.
‘You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.’
