Life in DoDEA

DoDEA – Department of Defense Education Activity

I spent fourteen fun-filled years teaching for DoDEA.  Almost every major military base in the world is part of this K-12 school system. The students are sons and daughters of the men and women of the armed services. The lives of these young dependents is strenuous at best. It is not uncommon for them to experience two or three high schools during their teen years. The benefit, however, is that they are exposed to a wide variety of cultures throughout the world. They are an amazing group of young people, and I miss each one.
